Pockets with wool jersey?

Hi, I'm new here and looking to sew some dipes for my baby due at the end of July

I have some wool jersey and I was wondering if I could make pockets of of it...with microfleece on the inside. Any reason this would not work?

Also - do I need to felt the wool jersey before sewing it?

Thanks!

Wool requires much different care than microfleece, so no, a pocket made with the 2 wouldn't work. However, you can make wool covers with snap-in's (or use aplix or whatever), and you could make the top layer of the snap-in microfleece so you still have that dry effect. The advantage to this is that you can make several snap-ins per cover and just change them out until the cover needs to be washed (or aired out).

Wool jersey should be felted before you sew with it.

Thanks for the info! I knew wool and microfleece require different care, somehow I just failed to put the two together
