Tomatoes: how much sun?

I'm in zone 5 and I am looking at starting a late garden... mainly tomatoes, marigolds, peppers, maybe some cukes but I'm trying to figure out where to put it... seems my yard has everything from full shade to full sun and in between. Any advice?

Marigolds can grow most places I think. Probably better in full sun to partial shade.
I would give the tomatoes and peppers as much sun as you've got!

Yea the marigolds I'm not worried about, they'll grow where ever the tomatoes will.. Now I just need to find the right spot for the tomatoes.... that the neighbor kids won't trample on.... grrr darn neighbors....

You can get or make big tomato cages for them to grow in. That should keep the kids out for the most part. It won't keep them from devouring your crop however! My dd ate basically all of our cherry tomatoes last year. This year I planted one right at the edge of the garden just for her to eat!
