Mine was great, exactly as I had hoped. But I think a huge part of it is not having too many expectations and knowing that you will go with the flow, KWIM? I had my water birth, but I wasn't up walking, outside, cooking, drawing, etc. in between contractions like I thought. It wasn't dark enough for candles until the very end. But at the time I didn't even care.
