OK I will try and answer some of the questions. In the sticky area there is a list of patterns, there are some free ones. I have used mammabird, and the weeweka. Both are turn and topstitch and both are good. I just ordered darling diapers one, can't wait to try it. I got the aio. As far as covers, it depends on what kind you want. With wool sweaters you can get 2 butt sweaters and a pair of shorties or longies from one sweater(pattern link in the stickies). Making a regular cover from a wool sweater would still be 2 I think. If you want to make pul covers from your coat you can just trace your diaper pattern a little bigger. You could sandwhich the pul inbetween a nonwicking outside, and make some all in ones. Hope that helps for now and have fun. Can't wait to see your creations.

Thanx for the reply...do you have a list of non wicking fabrics?I'm not sure about the whole different materials used yet.Still learning i guess.
Have you used the Darling Diaper pattern yet?I'm interested in that one. Also looking into the Very Baby pattern.Anyone use and like that one?

I haven't used my pattern yet because my printer is out of ink Hopefully i will be able to make one tonight. Reading the directions though it looks awesome. I got the all-in-one as I have gotten pretty handy at modifying things to my liking. As far as non-wicking I don't have a list, but polyester doesn't wick. Anything that has cotton in it will wick. Thats why I lick denim dipes jeans are mostley cotton. Wool works great for covers, and fleece I like for covers too(it's polyester) although some of the mama's don't care for fleece because sometimes there is commpression leaking, I haven't had this yet. KNOCK on wood For non-wicking the less cotton the better. This has a list of fabric http://diaperdivas.proboards57.com/i...ead=1142347907 I am not sure if it has the non-wicking or just the wicking fabric, but it's another board and very good.

I have used the DD pocket diaper pattern and the VB AIO. I do have the DD AIO pattern too. I'm making just AIO's and really am loving the VB AIO. I've made almost a dozen NB sizes and am at the point where I'm no longer looking at the instructions and the diapers are coming out really nice looking. No baby yet to try them out yet though, still got another couple weeks for that

I use aplix closures. PUL and Malden Mills 200wt fleece for the outters, and birdseye for the insides, as suggested in the VB pattern. I am not personally covering my PUL (just buying it in colors) so the urine doesn't get pulled to the outside.

I also got 12 preemie and 18 infant CPF's and am making wool and fleece covers.

That's great. I am not going to make them into aio, because of drying time, and I like the fleece covers and have found they are great if washed w/fabric softner and since you can't wash dipes with softner....well you get the picture sounds like you have a great start for that little one. I am cding full time and don't even have that many.. of course my dd is 15mo so doesn't go quite as much as a newborn. Working hard on getting some more made though. Great job

If you use the Darling Diaper AIO pattern (my favorite ), you can use the inside cutting lines to make fitteds and the outside cutting lines to make covers out of your sweaters.

i really like the VB pattern, but i think you could make most any pattern into a T&T pattern, i think you just add 1/4 inch around the edge. for covers you could bind with FOE and no surger needed for that
