Weed control

We have some low lying rock walls in our yard. They are overgrown with weeds including poison ivy. To remove the weeds by hand would take all my dh's ( ) free time this summer and probably fall as well. It would also entail pulling down the rock walls (no mortar) and building them back.

I need some kind of spray or solution that isn't dangerous to humans. I don't have to worry about killing grass or anything since the weeds are concentrated in one area.

Can anyone help me?

Thanks!

Vinegar. But it'll make it impossible for anything else to grow, either. Call the extension office in your area and ask whether they have an idea for an organic resolution. The only other one I can think of is to spread THICK newspaper and then black plastic, and suffocate them.

Do I just spray on regular vinegar?
