Engaged

I had a pre-natal this evening and instead of measuring a week or so ahead like I have been for the past few eeks, I am now measuring about two weeks behind. Sitting straight is uncomfortable, my midwife laughed when I said that and replied with "Who likes sitting on a bowling ball?" Everything seems to be going smoothly and I am due in aproxamitly 16 days (somewhat wild edd due to my irregular cycle at the time I got pregnant.) My next visit will be Tuesday and it's my home visit. It's exciting to think that I am at the point that our baby could come anytime in the next month; my son came at 39 weeks and my daughter at 41 weeks 1 day.

Waiting right there along with you! My EDD is the 27th, but I'm "feeling" the 23rd, for some reason, so we'll see. I don't have the 'bowling ball' sensation yet, but do have an OB visit todya and *might* ask them to check me...I'm not sure though...

How funny, at my appointment I was measuring only 36 weeks, when I'm actually 40! That's the first time that's happened (I've been measuring right all along), and she said it does mean that the baby has "dropped" or "engaged." No wonder I don't have much heartburn anymore!

don't know what it means, but the midwife told me the tape measure ran out, so I am assuming that is big. I am 39 weeks...she said you gotta go soon because I can't measure you anymore! yikes! hee hee.
