Eczema and apples?

My DD has just had 6 months of unexplained eczema. We just ran out of applesauce, and I've been feeding her other fruit, but her itching seems to be subsiding, and her skin looks better than it has in ages.

Is she allergic to apples? Is this what an apple allergy can look like?

Here I was to get rid of dairy, again.

Apples are a no no on the Feingold diet, I am sure they can cause other symptoms.

A person can be allergic to absolutely anything. Some things are more common allergens than others but ANYTHING can be an allergen to someone.
Eczema is an allergic condition and could certainly be caused by apples if he's allergic to apples.
The way to find out is to eliminate apples entirely for at least two weeks and see if his skin clears up. Then (if you want to be sure) reintroduce them and see what happens. Another thing to consider is pesticides...some people are ok with organically grown apples and not with "regular" apples...
