We have 5 girls and 1 boy, so we're running short on girl name ideas. For a boy we're set: Grant James - But for a girl we have no clue. I'll be watching this thread very closely for girl name ideas!

Names when you're not pregnant are so easy...and then you get the positive and you go blank!
But I do LOVE names- great thread!
Boy names were always so hard for me with DS, but since he is a boy, I have all these leftover (and IMO, better- DP picked DS's name...I wasn't too fond of it, but it has grown on me ) boy names and no girl names
Boys
Nesta
Senna
Sequoia
Ocean
Phoenix
Dorian(DP's fave- but I'll only be ok with it for middle or 2nd middle name)
Girls
Stella
Ocean
Oceana
Hygieia
Aravah
Alice(after my grandma- will be 2nd middle name)

We have had our names picked out for over a year!

Girl: Viola
Boy: Leo

We had middle names picked out, but I am changing my mind on those. I also really like Cole for a boy.

Oooh, I love to talk names!

Here are the ones were thinking of right now:

Girls

Anna, Claire, Hope, Faith, Isabelle, Madeline, Meredith, Elisabeth, Hannah, or Sarah

Boys

Aidan, Andrew, Benjamin, Cooper, Corbin, Cole, Henry, Maxwell, Thomas, Leo, Noah, or Sawyer

Oh, this is fun!

The names I like right now - subject to change at any time! My dad is "Ray" and we'd like to use his name, but may use Jane (my MIL) or a derivative of George (my uncle and dh's grandpa). We also think it would be funny to name our child after the location of it's conception (as a private joke between the two of us!) so something with the words Cara or Van would be nice

Girls

Aurora Jane
Cara Simone
Caroline
Georgia Raye
Raya ____
Katharine/Kate
Brigitte
Elena
Melody

Boys

John Blythe (but we'd call him Jack I think, John is a family name, Blythe is from dh's dad's hometown. Dh wants to use his dad's middle name Wayne, but I am not crazy about it so I am trying to come up with other options!)

Jude David
Samuel
Athan/Nathan James
Gideon
Simeon
Isaiah/Issac
Joachim
Levi
Ryan

Names with "Van" nicknames

Vance
Evander
Gavan
Havan (maybe too girlie?)
Kevan

I'm almost positive we won't have a name until days after the babe arrives. I mean why break with tradition

But just in case we *do* agree, I'm making a small list

Boy:

Oliver
Quinn

Owen

Girl:

Sophie
Linnea
Liv
Amelie

That's all I can think of right now

October Mom,
My neice born last year is name Margaret Lilian! Such a pretty combination of names. They call her Maggie, which is cute but I dont like it quite as much as the name Margaret.

We have it narrowed down to two each. Especially with the hard time we had picking out the name for #1, I'm SO glad we're OVER prepared this time.

Girl - will either be Alexa Rose or Chloe Rose
Boy - will either be Blake Christian or Trevor Christian

My daughter's name is Chloe and EVERYONE always says "Wow! What a beautiful name!" Every single time i tell someone her name... Well there are some old people that can't even pronounce it!!! haha They try and try, but anyway, i just wanted you to know that about her name!

I like Travis or Claudia

We run into the same problem as the last time. Our last name is Cleri (pronounced Cleary). So, we now have Chloe Cleri, which is odd enough, but Actually i really wanted her to be Claudia Cleri... so now that we are pg again, we like Claudia again, Can we actually have a Chloe and Claudia Cleri???? Or is it just too weird??? haha

Here's hoping for a Boy so we don't have to worry!! haha

Thats cool! I'm not much on using nick names I don't mid pet names in the right content like I'd probably use Daisy (which margaret is derived from) as a personal pet name but we would formally use Magaret as her name. Our DD is named Cecilia Leonore and people always ask if we call her CC :Um not thats not her name.

Deanna

For a girl,I like the name Annie but I can't think of a middle name. I love the name Aiden for a boy but it is so popular right now. What do you think could I name a girl Aiden.
