This prodromal labor is killing me. I lost my mucous plug three days ago started having back to back cntxs, then stopped. I have been getting contxs all day long since but they have not gotten any closer together, but hurt bad
How much longer can this go on? Any other mamas experiencing this right now.

Oh also went to L&D to be sent home still only 2cm and 60% effaced.Argh!

Mama to Alexis 8/1/03 and expecting baby Dylan 6/22/06

It totally does suck. It makes me wonder if this dc will ever make her/her apperance. : Yesterday morning I really thought that I was starting labor. I had the most intense cntx so far, couldn't stand up straight or even walk that much. A shower didn't help so I went and layed down, took a nap and BOOM...they were gone. : Then, I got them back in the afternoon...only to last for about 30min. sigh It really is frustrating.

I lost my plug last April... and have been in and out of labor ever since. I haven't slept much the past 4 weeks, and hardly at all the past 3 days. I'm crazy tired... :yawning:

I hear you. Wednesday night I was sure it was starting, now nothing for 24 hours. It's miserable but I don't know what we can do about it.

One more ditto

It wouldn't bother me so much if my nights of false labor weren't so painful. Sunday night I had 5 hours of back labor. My hips were aching, I had DH rubbing arnica lotion on my lower back, it was awful.

I feel like all of us deserve fast, painless, orgasmic labors. We've already been through enough!!!

Add me to the club!! I've been "in labor" or so I thought since last Thurs. only to find out at my appt this wed. that im only a fingertip and 80% effaced!! aaarrrgghhh!! These cxtns hurt bad too. Like what they felt like when I was at the hospital w/ my other 2 dd's. And I too have been to the hospital and sent home Its sooooo frustrating!!!

I went through that with DS1 for five straight weeks. It was definitely torture, but it all stopped at some point and I ended up being induced... what a crock! Thankfully this time I've not had any action at all, but it makes me wonder what's going to happen.

Oh ladies, I hear you!! I've been in labor for almost 4 weeks. Any minute now, right? I can't wait till the cntx really good and intense. I will welcome them with open womb, lol.

It's exhausting thinking "is this it?" "is tonight the night". Pretty soon. It's got to be.

That really stinks! I had it with my last one for about four weeks. All night, every night.

With this one it is all day, and that is a lot better. At least I am sleeping at night!

Hugs to all you...I really sympathize!

Let me reassure you some, mamas...

I had not-fun prodromal labor for 2 weeks or so. Then on-again-off-again kinda-real labor all day (with 3 nice naps all through it) and then she came flying out with two pushes-- at 9lbs2oz. I could probably have had her earlier but was kind of in denial about being ready to push already... My big thing was no internal checks... I didn't want to get told I was at 3cm when I felt like I should be further along, especially when everyone has read those birth stories where the mom went from 6-10 in a matter of minutes, ya know?

Anyway, hang in there!! Repeat after me, "No woman has ever been pregnant forever..."
