I'm looking to purchase a Snap Press.. however.. I'm lost: ,

1) what size snaps are the best to use for dipes?

2)do covers and dipes take different sizes?

3) what's the best snap.. metal or plastic?

Most diaper makers use size 20 plastic snaps on both diapers and covers. Good luck!

I use industrial size 20 plastic snaps on both diapers and covers. So far I'm quite happy with them. They are a good size. They are not the same size as the snaps on my swaddlebees and fuzzi bunz though. Those are a little smaller.

I use size 20 polyresin KAM snaps in my diapers and covers. This size and style are the most popular and the most widely available through coops and other special sales. They also come in the most colors. I think they look a little large for newborn diapers but work fine.

I have thought about purchasing another die set for metal caps, I think they look best for clothing, but I am still in the thinking phase.
