Hello. My 3 year old ds has had issues with allergy type symptoms forever. As a baby he would get exzcema with certain situations, he's allergic to dog saliva, I am pretty sure he has a dairy allergy, but when we had him actually tested by an allergist, it came back that he was NOT allergic to dairy but that he was allergic to eggs (and rabbit, almonds, soy, peanuts, and dust mites). i'm not sure if I believe it or not, because he seems to respond fairly consistently with the milk and some kind of reaction, like a rash, or runny nose, or when he was smaller, throwing up, diarhea and mucus.
Anyway, for a long time I've noticed that he seems to look kind of tired, or at least that he has pink bags under his eyes. IS this allergy related?
The last few days he's been kind of (very) crabby and with a major runny/stuffy nose. He has had milk a few times, but not much else dairy wise. his pink bags seem more prominent and his bowels are looser too. he's had a bit of a rash on his hip that I think was triggered by the heat, or maybe a new diaper, but it's going away with cortaid.
The weird part is he seems to react primarily to non-organic milk. with my organic fat free milk he seems fine.
I don't want to have to give me allergy meds forever but if the tests are saying he's not allergic to milk, what do I do? And, he loves dairy and eggs. Isn't there something about being drawn to the thing you're allergic to? I thought I've heard something like that.
Anyway, just curious what the pink circles mean. any ideas?
