diaper drying?

Hi everyone. I don't post here much but I do read all the posts. I have been making diapers for when we have a baby. I have a question for you girls. I just got out my entire stash and decided to put them through the wash and then inventory what I had. I can't figure out how to wash and dry them without the velcro going nuts. I tried hooking the tabs on the front as far open as possible but they still are taking 3 times through the dryer. I've tried just leaving them open but they stick to each other and snag. btw my diapers are all flannel. I know I could avoid the long dry time by using something else but I just like all flannel. I'm going to dry them on a line at out new house we're buying, but even then I'll need to use the dryer in the winter. Do you ladies have any suggestions. There must be an easy way I'm overlooking. Or did I miss something in making them so that they should hook onto themselves? Sorry this turned out so long. Thanks for reading, and thanks in advance for any advice.

Sew a loop square of velcro next to the hook, and hook them together. Or you can sew laundry tabs onto the outside, but this has to be done when constructing the diaper, and you have to make sure the tab is big enough to cover the whole hook square. I started making them this way and then switched to sewing the loop square.

Also, I don't know if you've sewn your doublers inside or have them separate, but having them separate cuts down on the drying time a lot.

Post some pictures of your stash!

You can also cut pieces of loop tape and attach them to the hook before you launder for a 'no sew' solution.

And I second the idea of using quick dry soakers or pocket style diapers to reduce drying time. But for the diapers you've already made, here is a suggestion. My friend swears that by running the spin cycle twice, her diapers dry faster.

thanks so much for the advice! I knew I probably just missed something in the instructions. I only read them the first time anyway I also think I'll try some with outside soakers.

as requested here is a link to my pics I just took. There are some of other things I've made for our yet to be concieved baby as well:

hope the link works. . .

thanks again!!

Wow! Nice stash! I love the froggy outfit and the two asian cherry blossom outfits, those are adorable. Did you do all the knitting yourself?

thanks!! yeah, I like to knit. I am a little add about it though. I have three projects going right now and I go back in forth between them when I get bored with one I'm knitting a baby yoda sweater right now (yet another joke at my future child's expense . Then I think I'll make some more longies and wraps. I can't wait till we move in two weeks cause I'll have a new goodwill with fresh wool sweaters(mine is all out )

I don't get to show off my work in real life yet since we are still waiting for a little one, so thanks for giving me an outlet, I think dh is getting bored with my antics.

I love the kermit outfit! And I love seeing things that people sew, so feel free to post here whenever you have something new (like the yoda outfit).
Those are all great things you've sewn and knitted.
