using MM lightweight fleece? (and a thread q)

I wanted to do applique on the covers I am making for my daughter right now. Would the lightweight (100 or 200) work on the outer just for the designs?

I plan on usign Windpro or 300wt. for the actual cover.

If these work out as cute as I think, I may be selling them as well.

Last question is: Is polyester serger thread suitable for covers, or will it wick?

Thanks so much, I'm finally getting to shop for these things and it's driving me nuts!

Hi, I have done exactly what you're talking about and it works just fine. It's fun to do fleece applique's on the fleece covers, cute too. I have used the WindPro fleece with fleece (microfleece, 200wt, or windpro) designs. I think any 100% polyester thread, as long as there's no cotton in it, would be fine and should not wick.

Have fun!

I 2nd the 100% polyester thread. That's all I use and no wicking so far. Just would like to find it in more colors than black and white at a reasonable price.
