DD's hair is getting pretty long and we are starting to experience struggles with tangles and knots. Any home remedies for detangling? DH said California Baby has a detangler, but I wondered if there was anything I could just make up at home? TIA wise-mamas.

This book feels good in your hands. The paper is heavyweight, and the illustrations flow perfectly.

First of all, I'm
at your siggy.
What I've done with my girls is fill a spray bottle with mostly water and a small amount of commercial conditioner. It's very inexpensive and works very well.

What Ruthla said.
Make sure there are no silicones in the conditioner like there are in adult conditioners. You can also try a small amount of olive oil and some lavender oil in a lot of water in a mist bottle.
Conditioner is easier and is probably a sure-fire way though.
Also, try using a wide toothed detangling comb first before using a regular comb or brush. Start combing from the bottom and detangle the hair and work your way up. Your kid will be happier that way.
