Out and About!

Wow! An EC board! Cool!

So just a comment. I've been having a hard time in public potties lately. DS doesn't want to be held over them (never has) doesn't want to sit on them either. So I finally did what I've been thinking of for ages. I took the padded toilet insert and just shoved it in my diaper bag! It's not really a big diaper bag. It's a homemade, square shaped messenger style bag. Just big enough to fit the insert. I also carry one diaper, one change of pants, the bag for messy dipes (not often used!), my wallet and keys, a baggie of cheerios, a grain bar for dd and that's about it.

Anyway, we went to the supermarket today and I plopped the insert right on the toilet and he happily sat. Problem solved!

That's a good tip, Shannon. Thanks!

I usually bring out little bb potty with us. If dd is not receptive to going in the public bathroom, I can usually let her pee in the potty in the car before we go inside.

Of course, the insert is a Lot easier to carry around than the potty!! :LOL

Whatever works, right?

Where do you get this insert thingy? I have a baby bjorn potty and stays in the car. I have another one by the bed. So far we do ok in public but I'm curious about this insert. Would it fit into a standard size backpack/diaper bag?

Karen, I got mine at Target. We have two, a Blue's Clue's one and a Sesame Street one. They're just padded seats that fit into the hole on the big seat. We got ours two years ago though, so I don't know if they'd still have them (got them when dd was training).

Thanks, I'll see if I can find one. I have a backpack diaper bag made by Eddie Bauer that was a gift and I'm wondering if I could fit a seat like that into it. I'll see what is out there! Thanks!
