Anyone with creative ideas for telling friends and family about a new baby? This would be our 2nd, if that matters.

Thanks!

Popping in from January ddc. I got an iron on transfer from ebay saying "big news I am going to be a big brother" and put it on a shirt for ds to wear. (They have ones for big sisters too). It was funny it tookk anywhere between 10 minutes and 1 hr for ppl to read it. Their reactions are the best!

That's cute! My very excited dd (almost 9) told my mom today. With my last pregnancy I sent my mom and sisters e-cards with a stork on them. They said "What are you doing June 24th." My sister gave my mom a bouquet of lillies - one for each grandchild + 1 for the baby she was pregnant with. She then told my mom these were from the grandchildren. My mom got it right away, my dad took a while to figure it out!

We did something similar to angel for DC #3. We bought plain white onesies and fabric paint. We wrote "Big sister to bee" with a little applique bee for DD #2 and "Big sister to be again" with a bee on a flower in the center of the shirt. It was so funny to see peoples reactions when they finally got it!!! It took our family a while too!! Have fun!!

we're having a t-shirt made that says "I have a secret..." on the front and "I'm going to be a BIG BROTHER!" on the back. DS will wear it on Father's Day. I'm so excited, but this week has been SO long, not being able to tell my mom!

We often send out a slideshow of recent photos on our flickr account to family and friends, and this time we added on a photo of our positive pregnancy test at the end. This was partially for the surprise, but also so that we sent it out to everyone at the same time and there was no chosing who to tell first!!!!

My birthday is Feb 12 and baby is due the same time I'm going to tell my parents not to take their annual cruise the week of Feb 12 because it is a very popular time for birthdays. I'm going to see if they catch on at all .
