New Moon pads...do they really work?

No snaps, no wings, no nothin'! But a pretty decent price on ebay...do these truly work or should I invest in something with wings? I'm only 5 months PP but I have a sneaking suspicion I need to get a stash going. Thanks!

I **LOVE** mine. I recently bought more so I don't have to worry about "having" to use the other brands I have.
I thought for sure I'd like wings. And while some of the winged ones I have aren't bad, I really prefer my NewMoon.
The only thing is that twice I've forgotten I've had one on (like when I'm beginning or ending and wearing just a liner) and it's fallen into the toilet!!

I was thinking the same thing about New Moon pads, too. So I made some knock offs of my own. I made them out of flannel with a minor adjustment. Since I am paranoid about the bunching that can occur with wingless pads, I made my 5 inches wide instead of 4 1/2. So far no problems, they work great. Renee, also offers "Moon Wraps" they are suppose to make a wingless pad a winged pad. These are offered on her site, I am not sure about ebay. May be you can contact her and ask about them?

Have you been to www.diaperpin.com forum section? There is a sub-forum called "Cloth Talk" its all about menstrual alternatives, and Renee is a member there. There are also a bit of New Moon Pads users that frequent the forum.

Mine are okay for light days, but I've had some wicking through the stitching with some of them on my heavy days. I really don't reach for those first, as if my underwear don't fit perfectly, the do slip and bunch.

My faves that are inexpensive are from http://www.hagrag.bigstep.com/ and I got some Cloth Wear from http://www.diaperware.com/mooncare/clothwear.htm . The Diaperware site is great because you can try a bunch of different kinds without paying for shipping for each one.

I've given up on wingless pads because I'm always forgetting about them and letting fall into the toilet! I've heard New Moons work great, but I wouldn't get them without the Moon Wraps, personally.
