Hi Kelly,

You're gonna love making your own soakers!

By far, my favorite patterns are from www.woolywonder.com Other faves are www.littleturtleknits.com and www.curlypurly.com, although there are many more.

Did you know there's a whole knitting forum here in Arts & Crafts? It's called Yarn Crafts. I think there's a sticky there with links and such, and you'll get lots of great advice from the knittin mamas over there.

The basic soaker pattern from wooly wonder walks you through customizing a soaker with any type of wool you have, from thin to bulky. It explains exactly how to get the right gauge and cast on the right number of stitches to customize the soaker to fit your babe perfectly. As long as your yarn is wool, it'll work!

Just take it moment by moment... you'll be surprised how fast it can go. The longest part is the bum area - but it's fun to watch it grow!

My fav. patterns are Wooly Wonder ones too... they rock!
Have fun!!
