Dang it, I'm 1 day past my due date and my cervix is still sky high. I feel like the same thing will happen as did with dd: not go into labor because I have another big baby and I'll end up having a c-section.
My cervix was high and posterior until halfway through transitional labor with dd -- that doesn't automatically mean a c-section. (It can mean a slightly longer labor, but even then, not necessarily.) Don't let that drag you down -- your cervical position can change very quickly and will when it's ready. Hang in there, mama!
My cervix is still super high too, like behind the baby's head where even the mw can barely reach it. It hasn't changed in 4 weeks of prelabor. My mw said that sometimes there are no changes in position of the cervix until after labor begins and everything still works out just fine... here's hoping. Hang in there, I know its tough.
saw my ob today and Im in the same boat. Not due till next week but was hoping for some progress w/ all these cxtns. But my doc said not to worry, cuz numbers don't really mean anything w/ a woman having a 2nd, 3rd, etc baby. Some women don't dilate till their in actual labor and some babies don't engage till then either....hugs mama, don't worry.....im going for a vbac too
