Diva Cup Insertion problems - Page 2

I would give it a few tries before I trim anything. I've had 3 months of use and I find I can get it much more comfortably situated now.

My trick to getting my cup to find it's comfy spot, is to use the punch down fold, guide it in until I feel the ridge reach just past my wall, then I give it a twist of 1/4 turn. Sometimes, the stem is still poking out a bit, and I just give it a little push further back. Then, I give it a little "tug" to make sure it rebounds (which indicates it is sealed). I run my finger all the way around the base to make sure it's popped (and tonight I realllllllly felt it pop and it hit my cervix and shocked me!). Finally, I do this little cupdance that is basically hoolahooping w/out the hoop. I go in both directions to make sure it is settled and popped. It seems to be my "security", and also helps relieve back pressure for me!

Well, it was comfy enough to sleep in last night. I'm getting in right as far as catching the flow and I haven't had a leak issue. It just isn't quite comfy, the end protruds and push up agains my left side jut a bit. I guess I'll have to keep working to perfect the positioning. I'm determined to bond with my Diva, I really like the concept.

A Mum....I couldn't get it comfortable until I totally trimmed off the tip...don't know why they think you can pull the thing out by that little piece of silicon anyhow!!!!

Thanks to everyone for your help!!! Sus

Sus, its good to know I'm not the only one "breaking the rules"

I don't get how the stem would help get it out either. I just grab the base of the cup and pinch and twist it out. I haven't quite figured out if I'm breaking the suction or not, but it doesn't hurt to take it out, so I guess I've got it right.

I wore it today to take Claire to dance class, we were out for about three hours. I emptied it at home. It is so pleasant not to worry about icky pads or tampons.
