because if I'm not, I have a sticky weekend ahead of me!
I'm vbacing, and am currently 10 days past my EDD. I cannot go even one day past my EDD in the care of my midwives, who I love. As they said, if I chose to go one day past, I would be transferred to an OB at the hospital, almost all of whom are hostile to vbac. Doesn't sound pleasant to me.
So, if I don't labor before Saturday, I go into the hospital, they break my water, wait 12 hours and hope I go into labor. If not, I get another cesarean.
This morning, per my midwive's suggestion, I took castor oil. Holy diahrrea, Batman. It's not pleasant, but I did start having light contrax around noon. At 2:30 I got acupuncture. Then went for a long walk and had a hot bath. Around 6 I started having contrax about 10 minutes apart, achey, but not painful.
I'm so paranoid they're going to quit when I go to bed. I've never had them this regular, but they're not progressing very quickly so I'm nervous...
I hope this is the real thing... I truly want to avoid the hospital scenario!!
Happy birthing everyone!

:

to you. I'm 11 days past, and though I don't have an induction/c-section looming (I do pray you are in labor ... what a yucky thing to have to worry about), I too am hoping I'm in labor. If it helps, I had "early labor" type contractions today from 4:30am until about 6:00pm, and then it started to kick up the notch. I'm about to 6-8 minutes apart, and they have definitely grown in intensity - so much so I actually told dh to start filling the pool. Have your contractions continued even with getting up and moving around and changing positions? I would think if they have, you are for sure in labor.
Keep us updated! (And man are you brave for doing castor oil! My mw brought some over yesterday just for me to keep and consider ... )

Wow, you just managed to get the first smile out of me today! (Its been a rough one.)
Hang in there mama!!
