So sad. No one ever thinks they will be that 1 in 10000 or whatever it is, but it happens. I'm glad this made you appreciate what you have in your ability to birth naturally, I had the same feeling as well.

OMG, that is so sad.
A woman that my mother works with had an epidural accident too--it numbed the top half of her body instead of the bottom and she stopped breathing. Emergency C-section. Similar to what Greensleeves described.

Oh that's so scary! I hope she is able to recover. Is it permanent?
