Ricki Lake on "The Early Show"

She was on this morning and mentioned the documentery she;s working on about birth. She talked about being a homebirth and midwifery advocate and about giving birth in water. She even stated that she pulled her child out of her!!!! Her own homebirth is going to be in the film. I can't wait to see it. Yeah, Ricki!!!

I didn't see the show, but I think Ricki Lake is awesome. she's a trained doula too from what I understand. I hope she starts a new "trend" with her film

I just watched the whole clip and she rocks! Seriously she looks wonderful and seems so happy! What a great birth advocate.

I watched it! (thanks for the link up there!) She sounds so down-to-earth. Actually, listening to her talk I had a realization: Women who are of the bith-is-normal mindset just speak diffeently. Has anybody else noticed that? (and by different I mean not like the average person -- there is a calmness to their voices when they speak abbout passionate things)
An aside: Was anybody else a little put off by the game involving the people in the crib racing to drink the bottle?

This is the first Iv been on here today, but I just knew there would already be a thread started about Rockin Ricky!!! I saw it this morning, and I was just blown away! I wish DH could have seen it (im trying to talk him into a HB next time!)
