My dear, sweet friend was scheduled for a c-section this last monday, the 12th. Her twins had twin-to-twin transfusion (sharing placenta) and dr had decided it was time to take them. They were approaching 34 weeks and seemed great. Then the Friday before, the larger twin's heart stopped beating. There was an emergency c-section that day. Sadly, L. died. But K is just doing so awesome, so much better than anyone ever predicted she would do.
Her parents are on such a roller coaster right now. They are of course devasted, but they are so thrilled with their surviving daughter. I am searching for resources for parents in their situation, and for me and the rest of us who love them. The funeral is tomorrow. They are so worried though that everything will overshadow the great wonder of K. and how well she is doing. And then, down the road, they want K to be emotionally healthy, despite missing a part of herself, as most twins describe each other.
Any resources or advice would be appreciated.
Thank you
