I'm getting an ultrasound tomorrow... will you hold my hand?

I'm not worried that there's not going to be a baby. I'm not worried about dates or anything.

I'm worried about twins. The hcg levels were quite high (66 at 10 dpo, 1400 at 17 dpo; absolutely POSITIVE as to when we conceived). This was an unplanned pregnancy, and it makes baby #4 for me. I can barely function with 3 kids... I'm scared of how I'll manage with 4, and terrified of how I'd manage 5.

The father most likely won't be able to make it to the hospital in time to be with me during the ultrasound, which makes me extremely sad. My 8 y/o daughter will be with me, though.

I need some support. I have a lot of friends IRL, but none that really understand or know what to say.

Please give me the strength...

Well, sending you singleton vibes I guess??? I'm sure no matter how many babies are in your tummy you'll be able to muster the strength to go on and you'll be fine

I will gladly offer virtual hand-holding to you tomorrow! Keep us updated- we are all here to support each other through whatever these pregnancies throw at us

You'll be fine! There is just a slightly elevated chance of twins with higher hcg levels. Many women with singletons have high hcg and many with twins have levels on the lower end. It has to do more with when the baby implanted. Good luck tomorrow!

Dont worry about twins.........worry is taking responsibility for something we cant control

Update...

Just one! WOOOOO! Measures great. Heart rate was 161 bpm. And the daddy showed up in time to see the baby! As wonderful as it could have been.
