Our 3rd child, 2nd son, entered our world this morning at 6:16 (on 6/16 - is that cool or what?) and is a beautiful baby!
He is 7lbs, 3oz, 21 inches long. We thought he was going to be a "big" baby but he was about the same size as his brother and sister.
He was born at home, in the water and though his first few moments were a little scary (apgars 4,10) and we both needed oxygen, we are all doing well now. He nurses like a champ too!
This birth was a great example of how "problems" can be handled at home by a qualified, talented midwife. It is a long story that I will post later.
I am so happy to have him here, not be pregnant any more, and still be able to make my daughter's recital tommorow. I am also very greatful to God to have a healthy, living child (like said, there were some "problems" and overdue signs (calcification of the placenta for example) because it could have easily been different.
Blessings to all of you expecting a baby soon. May your birth have as much peace as mine did - despite the unexpected challenges .
thanks for reading,
Micky
