Lasagna without milk or tomatoes

Thread Starter
Hi,
My 14-month-old is allergic to milk and tomatoes (and eggs, chicken, almonds, peanuts, coconut). Does anybody have a recipe for lasagna that does not involve milk or tomatoes. I know I can make a nice fake ricotta cheese out of tofu. Any suggestions?
Thanks

I'd check for vegan recipes.
this is the results list of a google search for "vegan lasagna recipe."

agreed.. look for vegan recipes. I've seen several that use tofu as the 'cheese' base. The flavour elements have been everything from spinich and mushroom, to roasted veggies (eggplant, zucchini, and red peppers), to shreaded carrot or winter squash puree or any vegetable you can think of really. If you need a specific recipe I can type one?

Have you had dd tested? I might stay away from soy for a while...50% of kids allergic to milk are also allergic to soy, and it may not show up for a while. I'd avoid it to try to keep from occuring, and if it does, it'll be less severe the longer you stay away from it. My dd has many allergies as well (egg, milk, soy, peanuts as well as tree nuts, chocolate, some food dyes, apples and pears, the list goes on), and we've been living the allergen free food life for four and a half years. It's quite a journey, but I've become a GREAT scratch cook (and I was pretty good before!) learning to make food taste like FOOD when she can't have most of what the rest of the world eats every day. The upside is that she doesn't know any better, so she likes most of what I feed her!
