**BIRTH STORY**
I was due June 9th. By June 14th I was dead tired of being pregnant!! So, I started my Wednesday out with a 4 hour swim, got out and took a nice warm shower... had a little lovin with my husband... went walking for about 2 miles.. came home... took another quick shower... layed on the couch and within 20 minutes my water broke.
We went straight to the hospital. We were checked in around 10:15pm on Wednesday. I had only dilated to 1cm and was only 50% effaced. My nurse said that my doctor was going to wait until 6 am to start anything. He wanted to see how I did on my own throughout the night. At 5:30 I was checked and was dilated to 2cm and was completely thinned out. I was started on patussin (spelling?) and within hours I was dilated to 4 and given my epidural. Things went rather quickly after that. I started pushing at 3:00pm and Zachary was born at 3:29pm. No tears, No stitches!!
I did get one small (nurses words not mine!) hemorad (spelling again??) But other than that it all went well.
Right now we are trying to adjust to life with a newborn.
Good Luck to those of you who haven't had your bundle of joy yet!
