Natural Ways to 'Induce'

I'm 9 days overdue and tomorrow I have an appointment with my Dr....... We are to come up with a plan just in case I keep going over due He's real easy going and is the type that just goes with the flow and lets me do what I want....(not sure how long over due he'll let me go )

I was wondering if anyone knew of any 'natural' drug free ways to induce??? My last resort would be to be induced with pitocin or something like that...

I've tried a bunch of different things but right now any suggestion would be nice! SO..............

Any ideas mamas???????

Also today I am going to an acupuncturist to see if that helps at all... Anyone ever done this before or know anyone who has???

Thanks in advace!

To add to EcoMama's list:
pedicure with major foot massage. You may want to add reflexology because there are pressure points in the foot that are supposed to stimulate the uterus.

I went into labor shortly after with dd. And had major contractions after my last pedicure a week and a half ago.

get the breast pump out! start pumping!

I worked on it for a week with DD1. My MWs had a list of things that had worked for other clients. They weren't as successful with me (except the last one... of course! )

*chiropractic adjustment
*acupunture
*a procedure the acupuncturist did with burning ash (called...??)
*acupressure
*homeopathics (I think they were for blue & balck cohosh)~less harsh than the herbs themselves
*castor oil belly massage
*breast pump/nipple stimulation
*castor oil (internally)

That was my list. Since my water had been broken I couldn't have sex. But that is supposed to be a great one, too.

So today I had sex, ate spicy food while nursing DD then went to my acupuncture appointment and I think things are working..: I've been having strong contractions (not like the ones I've been having lately) and they're about 3-5 min apart...... Wishing and hoping its the real deal!! my way!!!!!

ok, i'm asked already in the overdue mamas thread but i'll piggyback this one and ask here too (if that's ok ) what is the deal with castor oil? i've heard of it used often for natural induction and i guess its supposed to get your bowels going. is there something else? is there some risk involved?
Iv been reading about it(castor oil). From what i understand, it stimulates your bowels and can cause contractions if you are really ready( effaced, cervix is in right place) but it can aslo cause the baby to poop meconium so i dont know if it is worth the risk.

I know how hard it is waiting and how scary it is when you are getting close to 42 weeks.
