Zahi Ade Toussaint has arrived...

hi everyone -
well, after a post on friday where a midwife (thankfully not the one that attended the birth) had me worried about the size of this baby and my ability to birth him naturally...he was born naturally saturday afternoon at 5:44 pm after labor started at 1:09 am with strong contractions never more than 3 minutes apart the entire time. he weighed 8lbs 6 oz and was 20 in long.

thanks everyone - we're soooo thrilled with him. he's great! but, DH was looking over my shoulder and reading your comments and said: you should see him when we're changing his diaper!
he absolutely hates it. it's the only thing that makes him wail. poor baby - i wish it wasn't so hard on him and i am not sure why he hates it so! we've even taking to warming the wipes.

When dd was born we had a space heater in the room and I'd always turn it on and lay her in front of it for diaper/clothing changes. She didn't get such a shock from the temp change and never cried when the heater was on... maybe its the cool air hitting his little bum?
