I'm pretty disgusted about this situation.
Just a refresher, somebody posted about this Circumcision Clinic in Toronto, Ontario a few months ago:

Everyone here seemed to agree that there is a lot of horribly misleading information on his website, luring parents in to have their babies circumsized. Just an example:
Non-existent? I don't think so. At least I was unable to find any research backing that claim up. Somebody suggested that the College of Physicians be contacted about it, so I fired off an email. I received a letter back stating that the issue would be discussed at an upcoming meeting in June. Recently, I finally received a very condescending letter back, explaining their conclusion.
I'll quote it later, if anybody requests it. But the jist of it was that because they take no official stance on circumcision, they weren't going to do anything about it. They also thought my statement about the cancer quote above being a "blatant lie" (my only request of them was that this quote be changed on the doctor's website) was extremist?? The letter I wrote was not extreme in the least bit. I'll have to fish around and see if I remembered to save the email. But I pulled up quotes from the Canadian Pediatric Society and compared them to the quotes on this guy's website. There was a very obvious clash of information. Either the Canadian Pediatric Society is lying (which is not the case) or Dr. Jesin is.
The College of Physicians is throwing the whole case out based on their non-existant stance on circumcision (which confuses me, because the Canadian Pediatric Society is so clear on their stance, that I just assumed the college of physicians would have the same view). Regardless, their stance on circumcision should not play into the situation at all. What matters here is that parents are being swayed into circ'ing their sons, on the bases of LIES! I didn't write the letter to get the doctor's clinic shut down, I wrote the letter to get the mis-information corrected. Apparantly the College of Physicians allows false advertising. It'll be interesting to see if Jesin ever gets sued by a parent whose child ends up getting cancer of the penis.
Even if the quote was changed to: "1. Cancer of the Foreskin. This disease, which can be fatal, is non-existent in circumcised males" it'd be an improvement. :P
Anyway, to get to the end of my angry rambling...is there anything more that can be done? If anyone else feels like writing to the college of physicians, feel free. There is power in numbers. :P
