... thought you would enjoy this story:


Last night, DH and I were in the kitchen getting dinner ready, and DD was in the living room playing. She'd taken a rhythm stick and put one of her slipper booties onto it, and started marching around the living room in the circles. We hear her start chanting:

GIVE THE BAG THE BOOT! GIVE THE BAG THE BOOT! GIVE THE BAG THE BOOT!

DH and I couldn't stop laughing. When we asked her what she was doing, she said, "I'm marching with the mamas! We give the bag the boot!"

After we got home from the rally, my (pre-verbal) 18 month old, took a diaper, held it over his head, marched around in circles yelling "Rah, gah.ababababbaa...daaaahhhh! Rah rah rah gah!"

Dh and I looked at each other and said pretty much simultaneously..."OMG! He's DEMONSTRATING!"

It's so great that you guys had a "Ban the Bag" rally!! I was following the thread when people were talking about wanting to plan something, but this is the first I've heard that it actually happened!

Yeah, it pretty well rocked! I was chasing DD and didn't get a chance to talk to a lot of mamas, unfortunately, but I know a bnuch were abel to go to a nearby playground afterward.

That's awesome! I wish I could have gone, the timing was just really bad for me. I'm so tired of Romney, I can't wait until he's not the governor anymore. Hopefully someone worse doesn't replace him.
