That made my day!

(I copied and pasted this from my blog)

So, the door bell just rang out of nowhere (we never get visitors) and it was 2 young guys selling magazine subscriptions for school. When I answered the door they asked me if my mom or dad was home! LMAO!!!!!!!!! Then Mikayla and Jimmy came running around the corner and they said to me, "Oh, are you the babysitter?". Again, LMAO!!!!! I was like, "No, I AM the Mom, I'm 25." The kid (who was about 16 or 17) said that I looked like I was 17. They were both looking at me kinda confused. I don't think they believed me. Ha ha ha!!! That was awesome!!! I wish we weren't so broke or I would have bought something from them just for making me feel good about myself.

The only time I was carded was when we went out drinking on my 21st b-day. DH (then bf) told the bar tender he'd better card me or he wasn't going to get a tip!

Elliot, however, got "carded" (I had to show his birth cert) this week to prove to SWA he was under 2! "Ummm, no ma'am, this baby in my sling with no hair, no teeth, no language is not 2 years old."

I loved it when we were in the hospital, and my daughter was staying there the whole time with me. One of the nurses came in to do one of their cruel 3 am "time to check your vitals"/change of shift BS. She said it was nice of my sister to stay with me. I told her she was my daughter and her mouth gaped open and she checked her records twice to check my age. She said she would have thought I was 15 years younger, which was totally cool, and I do get that a lot. My daughter on the other hand didn't know what to think. I told her she was lucky: she's got the genes so she better be happy about it 'cause it'll happen to her someday.

Carded by SWA, that's funny!
