Schedule

OK so here's an interesting situation.

You all know how I've been having constant struggles with Aveena, well at my wits end I went and put her on a schedule. Actually I read the baby whisperer and though I don't agree with and do everything she suggests - I took out of it what I wanted and what seemed right for me and....

She sleeps about 45mins to 1 1/2 hrs for her naps and is almost through the night. She is soooooooooooooooooooooooooooo much happier I can't descripe it, it's the best thing I ever did.

And I wasn't going to say anything here, but a couple of events recently have led me to cause

1. I believe the baby-led parenting is doing what makes the child happiest, in Aveena's case being on a schedule

2. I was reading creative parenting by sears, and he suggests putting 'fussy' babies on a schedule

Of course it's flexible, if she needs to feed earlier then she does, but it means I only feed her when she's hungry, not if she's upset (unless I can't calm her any other way, then I do no problem)

Glad that you found something that's working for your baby and YOU!

I agree that the best thing to do is do what is right for your baby even if that means a schedule. Only YOU know what makes your baby happiest.

That's great. Can you elaborate about the sleep changes that have worked?

I haven't read the baby whisperer, andI have the no-cry sleep method but haven't read that either.

what type of schedule? are you doing a feeding schedule? i have no idea how often E eats...seems like all the time!
