March 2007 Roll Call - Page 9

all!

Angela - there are other women planning VBACs with this pregnancy. I know you can find some on the homebirth rollcall thread - I don't think we'd mind a birth center user dropping in.

I'm due end of March...just barely making it to this due date club lol.

I had an epi with my first and actually had a good experience with it, but this time around, I'd like to do natural and get home asap after birth. Would love to do homebirth, but dh is not onboard with that at all. So, natural it is.

Hello all!!

I am pressed for time tonight so I didn't get to read all the posts - but wanted to pop in and say hello! Dh and I are expecting #2 march 27th - HOORAY!!!! Ds is 11 mo and I really wanted them to be close together!

I'm in the process of hunting for a midwife to do a homebirth/waterbirth for us. I had a CNM last time but it was with a doc office and in the hospital. They gave me SO many drugs (morphine shot, morphine drip, fentonal, and epidural - after pitocin) that poor baby was knocked out! Plus - as awesome as my midwife was (yelled at nurses for telling me I would need a c-section, which I didn't!), she was in and out like a doc, not hanging around at all.

That's all I have time for now! Can't wait to come back and read more! I'm so excited for this baby!!!

Hi!

I'm starlightsound, EDD 30-March. This is my first pregnancy, and we're very excited (albeit a little surprised!). I've been with my DH for over 10 years, married for 6; we're both newly 30. That's about all for now!

Hi, I'm Blue Eden, new here.

I'm 30, a SAHW, almost nine weeks along with our first. My first pg ended in an early first trimester m/c in January (perhaps it was a chemical, the docs here weren't sure if it was an implanted sac they saw or a blood clot, on the u/s).

So I'm naturally a little nervous for this one, but trying to relax.

I'm Canadian, Zorba is Greek American, and we live in Romania for now. We had been thinking about ttc for more than a year, and I was charting for 14 cycles (very long cycles, I O around cd23-27). We had timing issues, but no problem getting pg.

My EDD is March 16.

Blue Eden,
make sure that your careprovider knows you ovulated late or fudge your LMP to match with your ovulation date... otherwise they will be saying you are more pregnant than you actually are and that might cause problems at the end of pregnancy. Welcome!

Well this silly mama didn't look here first so I posted an intro thread. :

I'm lazy, so I'm just going to post what I wrote here, since this will be up "forever" and my thread will slip into oblivion in a day or two

Hi ladies! I hope y'all don't mind another member! I'm a babycenter refugee, they just drive me nuts over there and I need to chat with like minded mommas due around the time I am!

Like my signature says, I'm Sarah, mama to Leila, who is now almost 16 months old. the belly bean's official edd is 3/3/07, and we're planning another homebirth. Leila was born with several heart defects so instead of no prenatal testing like last time, this time we've opted for the fetal echo, I just want to be sure there's nothing majorly wrong since we're having a homebirth and our chances of having another child with a heart defect are slightly elevated now.

Hmm, what else. Second-time preggo mama, first time nursing through pregnancy mama. We're still cosleeping (with no plans for moving dd), so that presents some unique challenges as well.

Can't wait until the first trimester is OVER. the m/s is subsiding, but the exhaustion is killing me! My toddler will be much happier when mama has some energy to play again!

Hello. I'm new. My name is Felicia. I am 39 and single. Used a donor. Miscarried at 8 weeks in March of this year. Cautiously excited this time at almost eleven weeks. My due date is March 2, 2007. Glad to join you!

Thanks, yeah I told the doc about my late ovulation so they know about that. We've done a few ultrasounds already. The last u/s was at 7 weeks and 5 days, and the little one measured exactly right on schedule!

I'm pretty positive I will not be having the baby where I am. I will either go up to the capital city in Bucharest (there is an American clinic there) or more likely fly home to Canada and have the baby in the States (my husband wants the baby born in the US, to save us problems later on - he's American and we'll probably live there).

I really wish I didn't have all this extra stuff to worry about, but that seems to be the story of my life. :

Hellloooo!!

We are happily expecting abouts March 16th. My "real" 40 week date is March 5th, but my first 3 babies thus far have been 11 days "late" / on time ...

We expected a boy before he got in there, and now with my fabuloso gagging and carb craving...I am sure!

We are moving to KY this month, and are planning a unattended Birth as we did last time

...My name is Jaimee :

P.S. - My girly girl friend Cinnamonamon is the best... hanging and gagging with me when I get to MI from time to time

Helllloooo!!
I just can't really believe I'm pregnant! I've frankly gone through a lots of emotions, but totally stoked wasn't among them yet. I feel so overwhelmed!
I have a supercute, fun and sweet dd who will be 2 in October and I'm mostly soo exhausted right now that I can barely manage to leave the house with her.
Maybe some of your excitement here will rub off on me I hope!!

I've had to have a C Sec before, even though I was totally prepped for Hypnobirthing.
I'm condidering trying a VBAC water homebirth....

Congratulations and best wishes to all on the March 07 Roll Call list! I, too, am expecting in March - March 10, actually. This is my first posting in here, although I've been observing off and on for awhile (loving all the pics, btw!). Not sure how to get added to the roll call list, or if it happens automatically. But anyway, here I am....

I'm 29, this is my first pregnancy and I plan to birth at home. Looking forward to seeing and learning lot's more over the next few months.

So excited to be a member of the March DDC!! Although my EDD is the 28th... we'll see...

I'm 25, been married to the most awesome man on the planet for 5 years, have not used any kind of birth control since six months after we were married. We were wondering if we should pursue infertility treatment, but decided to wait and see what the Lord had in store. If we didn't get pregnant, we were planning to be foster parents or adopt, or both. But even though we are pregnant, that doesn't mean fostering/adopting is out of the question. It's still up to the Lord.

I'm just so amazed that I'm pregnant!! It's just sureal. I am daily astounded at the beauty, simplicity and complexity of conception, pregnancy, and birth. That our Creator would design this process, this "creating something out of nothing" with the main ingredient being what? Love. Love between two people and where there was nothing in my body before, now.... there's a person!! A real, itty-bitty little person, totally separate from my person, and yet, so much a part of me, being that he's growing inside me. I dream about the day when we finally meet him, see him, and touch him, and marvel at the fact that this person *did not exist* a year ago, and now, here he is..... changing our lives forever. Something out of nothing. Just facinating to me.

May the Lord bless and guide each one of you beautiful mamas!!

Gah. I guess you'll have to change my due date to April 1st. I'm still gonna stick around in this ddc for the most part. I know I could have an April baby, but I have a feeling it'll be late March.

Hi! I guess that after a month of knowing, I am finally adjusting to the idea that I am pregnant, so here I am! I have been lurking around these threads but not participating much yet.

Baby #3 is a BIG surprise (conceived 5 whole days before o day!). I really wanted more children but was hurrying up trying to finish my PhD first. Now I guess, our plans will have to change, for the best! Our due date is March 29, calculated from date of conception.

My first child was born at the hospital, with no complications but I was traumatized by how little my wishes and desires were taken into account!

My second child was born in a birthing home with a midwife. There is only one birthing home in our area and the midwives are very non-interventionists. I loved it!

This baby (little flower is his/her name for now!) will be born there or at home. Our last one was here in a little under 3 hours of labor with only the last hour being very intense so he/she might just slip out here at home this time!

Looking forward to going through these next couple of months with all of you !
