ppl keep saying "but my dc is immune-compromised" -must vaccinate

i have read this but i have also read that those whose immune systems are compromised are the ones who should not be getiting the vax's more than anyone else. this is driving me crazy! can one of you point me toward something to read.
mdc shoudl never be down again! when it is i visit other places and get in a lot of trouble!!!

I myself was an immunocompromised child in the '80's-'90's. My nephrologists were very adamant about withholding certain vaccinations.

I personally think that people who are immune compromised are probably the ones who should really NOT be getting vaxed. Who knows what further damage the vax could do to someone whose immune system is already not working properly? And the idea that such people should be vaxed is making an assumption that the vaxes will even work. This stuff has not been adequately studied.

It used to be that immunocompromised people couldn't have live vaccines but I gather they are looking at ditching that.

A friend had to fight when her child-who was vaxed until age 5 was diagnosed with "no immune system". They checked titers and said "wel lgee, the vaxes diidn't work!" Thwy then explained why many simple diseases could be deadly etc. They Then tried to insisist he get the CHICKEN POX VAX! She had learned a little but enough ot know it was live and could kill him. She had to fight so hard to stop them! This was CHOP-vax pushers for sure, and the yreally did not seem to realize it was dangerous even though there own "facts"stated it was!

Protect the immono compromised child, don't mess w/ their immune system. An immune compromised person does make up for the lack usually and putting vaxes into that process can only spell disaster.
Read more, research the science verses theory -- the logic does not add up to me at least.
I'm a mom of an IGA deficient child who is only partially vaxed b/c I stopped as I read more.

Apparently so, just look at how they push the Flu vac on immunocompromised people (diabetic, etc).

What exactly is immune compromised ? What conditions apply? What fits the criteria? Why would you vaccinate someone who already has problems..doesn't it just add fuel to the fire so to speak?

You hear about it in the package inserts and such..but how would you possibly know if your child was immune compromised at birth, 2months or 6months old?

According to most studies/articles, baby's are born with a 'deficient immune system', which seems to be a different way of saying immunocompromised.

i cant point you to any studies, because vaxes are only tested on healthy people!

There is some testing done with certain vaccines in certain groups such as those with HIV . . . otherwise, that's about it.

but when one of my pcps new pa's was going around
the office with her getting the routine she asked me if I had the flu shot.
My pcp looked at her and said "Mrs CL has several autoimmune disorders. The flu, pneumonia-well for that matter ANY vaccine is contraindicated for her"


PA : why I don't understand ? I thought we had to protect Autoimmunes with the vaxes
