okay maybe my previous post came across wrong! i mean, why would you put your child at risk for money AT ALL?! as if the $25 makes it worth the risk? believe me, there is no acceptable sum of money for doing that to a human being.

She's a public school teacher Her husband is an hourly cheerleading coach, and she says that they have a massive amount of student loans. She went back to work after six weeks because "she had to." I was a teacher married to an artist who had a massive amount of student loans, and I quit my job because I had to. I couldn't afford NOT to be with my baby. Not passing judgement, just pointing out that it is about perspective.

Like someone mentioned, she probably felt like she was getting a deal- protection for her baby and a few bucks. She's one of those people who puts blind faith in the medical community, so if her doctor said it was safe, that's all she needed.

Because as I said on another thread, somewhere else, animals are treated much better than humans. You would hands down go to jail for animal abuse, but get a slap on the wrist for abusing your child.
