Shalom in the Home Rabbi and Breastfeeding - Page 2

Guys, that guy is a right wing nutjob who is buddy-buddy with the likes of Rush Limbaugh... obviously, he is in cahoots with the concept that we need to protect society from the corruption of BREASTS!!!! I only heard him a few times on the radio but was totally disgusted by everything he said, so somehow I am not surprised by this. I just didn't realize that the "Shalom in the Home" was the Rush Limbaugh guy. UGH.

I can't even believe what I just read!

First of all, I would rather divorce my husband than not breastfeed my children simply because he is a sex-crazed, attention-hungry, selfish man.

Secondly, a baby "on the bottle" requires no less love and attention during feeding. Unless of course, you want to bottle prop, schedule feedings and other crazy notions. Therefore, his stupid commentary is simply about the sexual nature of breasts.

Sickening.

I had to comment too. Bleah.

I commented earlier today. I figured this guy was fishy because I saw about 10 minutes of that show and he seemed to be making the parents do CIO to "get the kid out of their room" and the kid was screaming and vomiting all over himself... Ugh! He seems so focused on "marriages" and not FAMILIES in the posts I explored. But I had no idea about how bad he was, going by the associations mentioned above. yuck! Good to know.

EW, I had heard of this guy but had no idea his advice was THAT bad. The story about the 3-year-old puking on the other side of the door makes me so sad. The guy obviously has a sadistic streak to give that kind of advice.

However, this "marriage-first" stuff is not new. It's right up Gary Ezzo's alley, for instance. It makes NO sense to me and how anyone can claim it's 'Biblical' is even more puzzling.

I saw his show on cable and I thought he seemed like a very warm, genuine helpful person. How sad that he is recycling the same old marriage-first, baby be damned, CIO crap.

I saw an episode, apparently he thought it was just unbelievable because the mom slept with her 2yo and his dad had a website for him. God forbid we like our children that much!

UHHH! This disgusted me! I honestly can't figure out what he is trying to say! How does bottlefeeding help a marriage? The child still needs constant care- even more so with the bottle! Obviously he is just fixated on objectifying breasts. His article is sexist and mysoginistic, and I made sure to post just that!

Oh dude, that's right, I forgot that was him!

What, no comments to Michael about cosleeping? Won't it put out his 'partners' & disturb their relationships?

I just threw up a little in my mouth.

He's so focused on marriages because his parents divorced when he was young and screwed him up in the head. Makes a little sense.

kinda like that movie Hitch where the guy who could never get a date helps guys get dates huh? Kinda sounds like he's living vicariously through other families. That's not healthy.
