Dangerous plastic? Other things I need to know?

Ok, I've heard a lot about dangerous plastic and other things around here. Does anyone have any links or anything for more info. I don't know anything about this. Are these things dangerous to older kids too. I have kids rangeing from 2-9. Thanks!

There is a huge reason to investigate chemical free toys.
