dumb question about EPO & mucus

if EPO increases cervical mucus production, and i have a bad cold with congestion and am coughing up phlegm, is the EPO causing me to produce more of this icky mucus congestion, too?

I never considered this! I wonder if it does increase overall phlegm production, then you could use EPO vaginally and it wouldn't have an effect on your lungs/nose? I don't know for certain though.
