meeting place?

*cross posted*

shall we meet in front of the store?
are we going to be inside the store at all?
and finally, could i possibly get a copy of the press release? i'm getting alot of interest in jamaica plain, and i want to make sure i'm on the same page.
i was also thinking of copying the article from the herald and maybe making some friendly flyers to pass out to those who ask what's going on.
good idea?/bad idea?
a little overly excited,
nancy

edited to add: oops. yup. found it. no signs. no hand outs. there's the press release. thanks.

Personally I wouldn't recommend handing anything out, b/c then it is a demonstration which they could essentially call security for. The press release is posted on this board a few threads down.

As I jokingly said to Firstkid4me, look at it as a playdate with purpose. Sit down, nurse, talk to other moms, grab something to eat, people watch. If people ask what you're doing, tell them. If you have media coming, you'll most likely be asked for an interview. VS will know that you're there (FOR SURE) and if you've contacted the media, then you have a public outlet to express your support

I'm planning on asking the sales assistants (I'm sure they have a more pc term) where their nursing bra's are... and when they say they don't have any, I'll be sure to mention how all of my friends USED to by vs bra's, what a GREAT idea that would be.

Anyone else??!!!

It's mindboggling that they are just throwing that market away. I mean, come on, who wouldn't love to be able to get a great, attractive bra at the mall? Right now it seems like our options are so limited, and if you want anything other than a boring white bra you've got to go online. They would be raking in the money hand over fist if they were to make nursing bras!

The nursing bra idea is fantastic! We could bring it up nicely, not in a snarky way. As though we are trying to help them. If we "nurse-in" nicely, this could be a win-win-win situation. A win for NIP mamas, a win for breastfeeding awareness in general, and a win for Victoria's Secret.

Exactly my point. Plus if VS thinks of us as a consumer then they are more likely to invest. Not that I love VS, I have mixed feelings-- but to have VS acknowledge that breasts ARE for nursing !!!!!!! Wouldn't that be huge?!

I think so.

They don't make a big deal out of their Bridal Selections, but they do have them, so nursing & maternity could be the same way. I'd take it.
