Behnjamin Shen was born on June 23, 2006 at 8:05 am. 8 pounds 15 ounces (AFTER 2 meconium poos!), 21 inches long. 2 hours 20 mins of labor from first contractin to birth. Its was a crazy one! We spent the night in the hospital for observation. There was a tiny bit of fluid (they think amniotic) in one of his lungs. It didn't hurt him at all, he just looked a little purplish for about 2 hours so the mw thought it would be good to take him in just to be safe. We're home now and doing great. I feel SO good compared to how I felt after Juelie's birth! We've had some trouble latching so my nipples are in screaming pain, but he is nursing and pooping nonstop. Will update soon with pics and birth story... I got a cumulative total of about an hour and 15 mins of sleep last night... that's all the sleep I've had since his birth yesterday morning so I gotta go lay down for a few! ... after I eat, I've also only had one meal since birth.
