This morning at 6:43 am Violet Starr was born. Her mama, my dd Kait, labored for nine and a half hours. Kait was induced around 9pm last night (pit) but still birthed her dd naturally. I am so very proud and in awe of her strength and power.

Her midwives were wonderful, encouraging Kait to squat, push on all fours, push standing.

Violet weighs 8.12 and has a head full of jet black hair.She is beautiful and is nursing like a little champ.

Kait will post her birth story soon.
