Thanks for your message regarding House Bill 1782 filed by my friend and colleague Dave Linsky. I am a co-sponsor of the legislation because I believe that what happened recently to a woman shopping in Boston is absolutely unacceptable. Accordingly, I have signed onto a letter to the Speaker of the House urging him to support this bill and bring it up for a vote. I appreciate your support in this matter.

Ali, I called the numbers you gave us and spoke to Victoria M in O'Flaherty's office. At first she didn't think it was on for reveiw and started to tell me how they go for 'study' (which I know is the end) and how they have thousands of bills and the budget is on the agenda. Then while she was checking I mentioned Jessie's incident and she ended up finding somethign about it. She did sound surprised to see it.

She then told me that I should call back after 3:00-- I did.

Long story.... but anyways the calls, email, the online petition--- something got the ball rolling again!!! THat's what it looks like to me-- although I'm not used to this, just trying to remember what the speakers we had while I was at Suffolk would say-- we had a more than one representative guest teach.
