children's books with alternative families?

I've been noticing lately in a lot of the books I read dd there are absent fathers. Actually suprised my dh hasn't complained about it since he reads to her as much as I do. But I've also noticed there's a lack of alternative families, too. Not overly suprising. But I was wondering if there are some good children's books not about alternative families but just have regular stories that happen to be about or have alternative families.

We just got a great book from the library called Oscar's Half Birthday that features an interracial couple and their kids. It's very cute!
it's about their son's 6 month birthday.
