This has nothing to do with mothering except that I was nursing DS last night while DH was asleep and suddenly heard DH say, "Let's not play with knives, please." I laughed so hard, I woke the poor guy up.
A few nights ago DH was snoring soundly when suddenly he stopped, chuckled, and said, "That was a funny joke!" Then immediately began snoring again.
My all-time favorite was the time he announced, "We're in orbit around a small planet."

: same here, rach!! when i was 9 we were living in Peru in a second floor apt in Chimbote...anyway, there was a pretty big earthquake and i didn't wake up. my mom was shaking me (hell, the *earth* was shaking me LOL!!) and nothing. she dragged me out of bed and i didn't wake up until my body hit the floor. i then had to haul ass out of our building before it started crumbling in parts. they've been riding me for that for over 2 decades.
