i got the felt critters book and am very excited to start. however, I am in the middle of making some wood characters - round piece for head, upside down flower pot sorta shape for body and connected with a dowel rod. Simple and large so DD can play w them. So far I have made a butterfly princess, king, queen, jester, tulip fairy... i have more already made unfinished wood characters coming in too. So I want to complete them first. I can easily get a ton of unfinished projects so trying to limit it to one or two at a time.

However I think for christmas DH and I are making my sis 4 children a treehouse like the one from www.magiccabin.com and I will make them bendy doll characters for it. My sis is sick of people giving her kids plastic noise making toys and has asked for all homemade gifts this year. Should be lots of fun!!

I also just made DD some magnets for her 1'st b-day which is sat. Unfinished wood shapes painted in bright colours so she can learn shapes/colors and have somehting to play w in the kitchen. She likes magnets....
