He's Coming Finally....

At my appt. yesterday we found that Im still only 2cm and although my cervix is very favorable, we're gonna go in on Sat July 1st and start a VERY slow pit drip. I'll still get my natural birth, no pain meds, etc and get to walk around and what not, but I'll have to drag my IV pole: And when my body kicks in and is contracting on its own, my doc wants to unhook me and let me go the rest of the way on my own. He doesn't want to break my water or anything more invasive. He said if after a few hours and Im not progressing and want to home, then they'll let me go home....

So eventhough he'll be born in July, I still consider myself a June Mama!! :

Hi Kelly,

I was induced with Pit last friday night and had my dd sat. morning. I had the natural birth i wanted and was able to move around, push on all fours and standing.I was two weeks over due by one due date and week by another.
I bet all will go great, i will be thinking of you!

Kait~thanks for the confidence booster. I was really worried that this would all turn into what I DID NOT want! I just wanna be able to get out of bed, walk around, drink water myself w/ out iv fluids, be able to change positions, etc....was the pain really out of control w/ the pit?

My doc is convinced my cervix just needs a little kick in the pants to get going and then we can turn off the pit and let my body do the rest....I hope 24hours from now Im enjoying a birth process that we agree with
