I have done a very small amount of batik (wax on cotton fabric) and I love the outcome but I have a few quesitons.
Has anyone used a batik wax applicator tool? I have seen them in the Dharma catalog but I can't figure out how they're used and haven't bought one, even though they're pretty cheap. Are they worth it? I have been using a paint brush dipped in hot wax but I think the batik applicator tools might be better... (wax dries too fast on the brush)... any ideas here?
Has anyone used a batik stamp? Where do you get them? Any suggestions what to look for? Ever made your own batik stamp? How?
So many questions, so little time. I am having fun with it but wondering if I couldn't be a little more efficient - it takes me forever to "paint" the wax on my fabric with a paint brush.
