YAY! Pants!

I'm wearing jeans... that BUTTON!!!! Just had to share my excitement. My fat pants from before I was pg fit me now, 7 days after birth. I tried them on last monday and there was no way, I was barely able to stuff my bum in them and was inches from getting them buttoned. I mean, okay, they're size 16 (I bought them a month or two after dd was born cuz nothing fit), and I'm normally a 12. But you know, they're pants without elastic and that's okay with me!

How long did it take you all to get back to your original size? I never did after dd, I used to be a 9/10 in pants and an 8 in dresses. I've accepted that I'll never see those days again. But this being my second baby I expect I can get back to a 12 again without too much difficulty. I've got 4 inches on my waist and 15 pounds that needs to come off till I'm back where I was, but I think I'm doing well 7 days pp. How are you doing?

I so can feel your excitement!!! I'm normally a 12 - I was back in them with ds#1 at 8 days ppd. With ds#2, it took a couple months to fit comfortably again , though I still hadn't lost all that weight before I got pregnant with ds#3. This time, we went shopping on day 10 ppd and I could fit into 14's pretty well, so we bought a few pairs of capris (I didn't want to live in my yoga pants all summer!). I'm hoping that between starting to walk again, and also roller skating, and hopefully starting yoga, I'll be back in my regular 12's by the summer's end. I keep trying to tell myself that it took 9 months to put on the weight and that it doesn't have to all come off immediately! With the heat we've been having here, as well as tandem nursing, I'm hoping that the pounds will just melt away!

I've lost 36 of the 50 lbs I gained as of my appointment on Tuesday, but I haven't tried my old pants yet because I think the empty, soggy belly will preclude them. But for two and a half weeks out, I'm not stressing about it.

Well...

I only gained 2 lbs, but I was overweight to start with. I weighted 172 before giving birth to our tenth baby(6/19/06), and I'm now down to 156. I have 30 pounds to lose! I'm going to do it this time.....I reallly AM!! I hope to lose at least another 10 pounds by my 6 week check-up!

As my kid seems to want to gain a almost a pound a week-- (Birth, 8 lbs 2.5 oz, week 1 back up to 8 lbs, week 2 8 lbs 15 oz, week 3 9 lbs 12 oz....) i am back in my clothes just before my diet--which i had done before getting pregnant. it was a good, healthy diet though, one in which i just totally increased my fruit and veggie intake and ate less meat and tried my best to cut down on carbs (i love my carbs...). anwyho, so 3 weeks pp and my maternity clothes are way too big so yep, in my regular clothes again. i only have 5 more lbs to get to my prepregnacy weight, but things seem to be sitting differently so i know i will have to lose more to get back to what i looked like before.....

I'm toying with the idea of trying on my regular skirts, now at 15 days pp. The belly is now gone, which surprised me since I looked 5 months pregnant for the first week. My "transition" wear that I bought is now loose, so mayyyybe... but I'm not gonna hold my breath.

Hmmm, I'm 2 weeks PP, and I think I've lost 25 of the 50 pounds I gained. It took me a FULL year to get down to what I was pre-pregnancy with DS 1. I hung on to 10 pounds for a long time. I'm normally a sz 14, but I think I can wear a 16 right now. Every day I look different! It's cool.

Still fat.

But dh pretends like I'm sexy.

I don't know about weight loss, yet. I'm not quite into my 'fat' pants, but I actually don't have any from the the first pregnancy. I'm going to buy a wear-everywhere skirt, until I can get into my biggest pants, which are a 12, I think. My MW says that b/c Jared was 10lbs, my uterus will take a little more time getting back to nomal saze. I'm 9 days postpartum. Disliking the 'apron', though. Guess I couldn't avoid it this time around, even with a VBAC:

After Alexandria i was back in a size 7 by 6wks PP. I did by 1 pair of jeans after having her that if i recall were a size 12.
I'm 4wks or so PP with Ryker and dh forced me to buy 2 jean carpri pants yesterday and i fit into a size 10 they are stretch capris. He was tired of me wearing the loose flowy, light liz lange maternity capri pants.
I still have a good pooch which i'm sure will look pretty gross after i loose more weight.
I started both pgs at the same weight with Alex i gained 23lbs and with Ryker i gained 36lbs or so.

Oh I know. The other day dh comes in the bedroom, rubs my exposed soggy cream puff belly and says "you're so hot." I never know wether to belive him or not, but I really think he's serious. Sick as that is. He was still attracted to me even at full throttle waddle preggo. Poor guy hasn't had any action in over 2 months, I guess anything would look goot right about now!

I lost all the weight within 2 weeks but my hips spead out and I can't get my pants up past them! Hoping they shrink back soon!

Ha! I'll be lucky if I'm back to my old size in a year!! But I will get there eventually. After all, it just isn't realistic for someone my size. I was only 95lbs pre-preggo (I'm under five feet and ran a marathon last year) and I gained almost 50lbs with this one. Even though I've already lost a lot of weight (20lbs maybe? I haven't weighed myself), I know my hips aren't going to shrink for a while. And boobs! I HAVE BOOBS! No complaints there
